Our Sunshine Coast Government Client are looking for a PMO Manager to join their Digital and Information Services branch. The branch delivers agile and transformative information and technology, enabling them to be a leader in providing innovative and sustainable services to its communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership to a cohesive team to deliver PMO capabilities, aimed at supporting the Digital and
Information Services (DIS) branch to deliver on its corporate priorities and strategies
• Foster employee engagement and a culture that values people, safety, diversity and inspires workplace
behaviours consistent with the corporate values
• Empower team members to consistently achieve team results, upskill, transfer knowledge and participate in succession planning initiatives
• As required, contribute to branch leadership and management activities that underpin the branch and have broader organisational impacts such as relevant legislative compliance matters, policies, strategy, business and operational plans, human resource and change management, financial, project management and business decision-making
• Establish and maintain a standard set of project delivery practices, processes and templates for managing projects and programs consistently and efficiently to reduce initiative related risk and costs
• Monitor and report on compliance with established standards to ensure the organisation adheres to agreed policies and standards
• Represent the PMO function on the ICT Leadership team
• Develop and deliver project and program management capability across the organisation to further reduce project and program related risk
• Manage interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure objectives are delivered
• Ensure project and program management processes and systems are efficient and effective whilst aligned to business needs
• Provide direction and oversight to the DIS IT Project Lead and the wider project delivery teams
